Ho, Ho, Ho! I am the legendary Father Christmas. Every year I travel around the world on my sleigh delivering presents to worthy children. I enter houses by popping down the chimney. Often the children leave me mince pies, which helps explain my portly figure! I have a big white beard, and I am usually to be found dressed in red. I am the Head of Christmas Land, and therefore have to consider the welfare of all my elf workers, reindeer and polar bears. The responsibility is a big one, and occasionally I can be a little short-tempered. Fortunately my wife, Mrs Christmas, is always on hand to smooth over disputes. Within the factory I have a special toy museum. Here I keep examples of the most popular Christmas toys from across the years. After lunch today someone broke in and broke some of the exhibits. I was furious and spent the afternoon in the museum trying to mend them. I am particularly looking forward to hearing “The Sound of Music” on the radio today. |
