I came to the islands with my husband when he was made governor seven months ago. I was very excited by the prospect of island life and intended to sample all the experiences that it offered. Tropical nights. A garrison of soldiers. Ruthless pirates. Primitive natives. Oooh, (fan yourself vigorously), I can feel myself getting quite hot and flustered at the thought!
