REASONS WHY MERRYMURDERS ARE FOOLPROOF

Reason One

Colour Co-ordinated Round Flowcharts, Investigator Questions and Character Responses

The flowcharts allows the host to see instantly what should be happening in each round.  Breaking the flowcharts into coloured "streams" allows each round to be played in small, more manageable sized segments.  Colour coding these segments with the Investigator Questions and Character Booklets means that, when performing the red stream, those players with red coloured items are forewarned that their turn to speak is coming up.

Reason Two

First Person Responses

Easier to read out, particularly after alcohol.  A lot of people find difficulty in taking responses written in the 3rd person, and paraphrasing them into 1st person responses before delivering them.  Merrymurders have all the questions and responses in a game written in the 1st person, thereby removing this problem.

Reason Three

Customer Feedback

Rather than take my word for it, please find below a selection of comments from satisfied merrymurder customers!

Thanks so much for the updated "Slaughter at the Circus" game, I really appreciate it. The new improvements (flowcharts and responses) make hosting the parties that much easier. Your games are actually the first mystery games that really do "run themselves" so to speak.

We did The Murder at the North Pole with 18 people.  It was wonderful, and everyone can't wait to do another.  Much simpler than others we have done.  Loved the flow charts.  Very funny and we had a ball dressing up.  Nicely done, Thanks.

The color coding and the flow charts made it easy to follow, even for a bunch of drunken professors!

Everyone was put together in such a fashion that there were no problems in playing the scenes out or understanding what was going on. I have recommended your site to several of our friends.

We enjoyed our murder mystery immensely! My daughter had a 17th birthday party and we staged the murder mystery for her guests.

I thought it was constructed very well.  The instructions were very easy to follow and the color coding a MUST. Most of the kids at the party are also in the theater and they said they wished all scripts were broken down that way.

I personally thought that it was very well organized, well written, the characterizations were great and it was a joy to perform. We will definitely be looking to Merry Murder again for mysteries.

Hi Tim,

Our murder mystery game was excellent.  Everyone enjoyed it.  It was easy to understand and very easy to follow. By far the best I've played yet.  No need to change anything, it was great!

.......Quite often, probably due to the excess alcohol, people were missing their cues - this is where the colour coded flowcharts were invaluable. A quick nod or prompt in the right direction soon got things back on track. Anyone who is worried about the game not flowing or missed cues, shouldn't......

Dear Tim,

Just to let you know, I think the new updates to your games are great. The first person answers work a lot easier, and the colour coded flowcharts make running and hosting them simpler and faster...

The colour coded flowcharts and first person responses are a host's dream - especially if you are doing the games during dinner parties and between cooking and serving food you need to keep things running and organised. They're great!
