CONFESSION

At the end of each merrymurder the murderer(s) will see that the game is up and will confess. They will do this by opening up the Confession Envelope and reading the statement they find there. This will reveal to the group exactly what was going on in the murderer(s) head and why they had to commit the crime. There may also be extra information contained in the statement. For instance, in "The Murder of Mrs Whyte", although the great news reporter Casey "Catch 'Em" Trent correctly identifies the killer, there are subtleties regarding the reason for the killing that Casey has not fully appreciated. In this game the murderer has the satisfaction of showing Casey that the newspaper reporter has not been quite as clever as he thought!
